Akasaka International School

Preschool

Learn English and connect with the world.
An international school that paves the way to the future

We offer three programs, Preschool, Kindergarten, and Elementary, to accommodate your child’s age and developmental stage. All programs focus on English and provide an environment where children can learn while having fun.

Preschool, Pre Advance & Pre Advance Full

By living in an English-speaking environment, children’s language skills and creative individuality are developed, and a balanced daily plan that takes into account the rhythm of their lives includes kindergarten preparation classes aimed at experiencing interactions between children and playing in groups, circle time to develop the basics of group activities, and work time focused on the children’s interests, fostering independence and enhancing sociality.
Through fun play with native teachers, such as music and movement, art, stories, and group games, children develop curiosity and confidence in English and also learn an international way of thinking.

Support for peace of mind even when you are separated from your mother for the first time

We will gently support your child as they take their first steps away from their mother. In a safe environment, we will help them develop English skills, lifestyle habits, and a sense of independence.

A place to experience learning and English for the first time

Children aged 1 to 3 years old become familiar with English through play and everyday life. In a small, relaxed environment, we gently nurture the seeds of social skills, emotional expression, and language.

Playing in English, learning in English, the first step

“English = Fun!” By accumulating such experiences, children will naturally absorb words. Through games that use the five senses, music, and picture books, children will broaden their range of interests.

Every day is fun and learning

This is the fun start of meeting new friends and learning English. Preschool is a place to nurture your child's "I did it!"

Preschool has PreAdvance and PreAdvance Full classes for children ages 3-6. In the afternoon, children can make crafts or draw art using their favorite materials, after which they move on to Kinder classes.

Math

It has been proven that practicing mathematics improves creativity. Mathematical problems often require thinking from different directions and solving the problem in different ways. When the first process you try doesn't work, you need flexibility and creativity to think of a new way to solve the problem. I think practicing mathematics is very important in the process of children's development.

Science

Allowing children to explore their natural curiosity is one of the best ways for them to learn science. Exposure to science develops creative thinking and problem solving, perseverance and an understanding that failure helps them learn. Being curious about the world around them to discover how things work develops their ability to form their own opinions, make observations and draw conclusions.

Language

Language plays a vital role in child development by shaping cognitive abilities, enhancing communication skills, supporting social interactions, problem-solving, critical thinking and holistic learning.

Motor Skills

Motor skills are important in building children's self-confidence. They impact a child's ability to concentrate, sit still and engage in different activities. Developing fine motor skills is linked to academic readiness and success, and fine motor skills are associated with improved academic achievement, especially in areas such as math and reading.

Development

Social-emotional learning is the process by which children learn to understand themselves and their relationships with others, manage their emotions appropriately, and develop healthy social skills. The goal is to raise compassionate children. These skills are important not only in early childhood, but also in their future school and social lives.
